Chris Guida has over seven years experience in residential and commercial real estate and now oversees all leasing, investment sales, property management, development, and operations at Ascent Properties.
Chris began his career in real estate working for a Manhattan based Residential Leasing and Sales group where he became one of the firms highest producers.
Chris then worked as an Associate Director on the largest producing New York based team for the Net Lease firm The Stan Johnson Company. While at SJC, Chris was involved in the sale of over 30 investment properties totaling over $75 million in sales. During his time there he learned the advantages of a properly executed Sale Leaseback, how to sell speculative development sites, and how a properly executed 1031 exchange can allow an investor to reinvest the proceeds of a sale into a new property and defer all capital gain taxes.
Most recently Chris was a director at the technology-based real estate company Ten-X. Focusing on finding buyers for all assets types, including GSA, Hotels, Office and Industrial, Multi-Family, and Retail; his team sold over 40 assets totaling over $80 million in sales.
Some of Chris’s career highlights include a $28M multi-tenant office building with significant leasing and environmental hurdles, and a $15M portfolio of Industrial properties.
While analyzing all opportunities for growth, Chris believes that being an advisor is more important than being a sales person.
Chris is a member of NAIOP, and has earned his certificate in Property Management.
He has lived in Brooklyn for eight years and enjoys biking through Prospect Park, playing guitar, and skiing.
